The City of Sarasota will host a ribbon cutting for the Nature Park – Phase One on Monday, July 13, 2026, marking the completion of the first phase of the project. This milestone follows the park’s initial opening in December 2023.

Project highlights include:

• Planting of more than 200 native trees and palms
• Installation of over 18,000 native shrubs and grasses to support habitat restoration
• Conversion of former golf cart paths into walking and nature trails
• Planned future amenities, including a boardwalk, bird blind, and seating areas

Attendees will gather at the clubhouse at 9:00 a.m. before proceeding to the Nature Park entrance for the ribbon cutting. All are welcome to join the celebration.
