Sarasota man charged with sexual battery
A Sarasota man has been arrested and is facing charges of sexual battery. Christopher Lind, 38, of Sarasota, was arrested on March 9, 2019.
On March 9, 2019 at approximately 6:20 a.m., Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department responded to a report of a sexual battery. The victim reported that she was sexually assaulted at the suspect’s apartment. The suspect was later identified at Lind.
The victim told Detectives that on March 8, 2019, she met her friend and Lind at Lind’s apartment. The victim said they all went out for the evening and at the end of the evening they returned to Lind’s apartment.
The victim told Detectives she fell asleep in a guest bedroom and woke up to Lind assaulting her. The victim left the apartment and went home. The victim reported the sexual assault to law enforcement the next morning.
Following an investigation, Lind was arrested and transported to the Sarasota County Jail. He later bonded out of jail.
